This course is designed to develop<br />
the knowledge, skills and attitudes in<br />
preparation for paid employment within the<br />
hospitality and catering industry. Students<br />
will be involved in a wide range of catering<br />
and hosting activities, including catering<br />
enterprises and hospitality events. This<br />
course includes food preparation and food<br />
service skills, health and safety procedures<br />
in the workplace and customer service skills.<br />
Students will undertake work experience<br />
placements within the industry. This one<br />
year course also offers essential study skills<br />
and knowledge to students who aspire to<br />
further their education on a mainstream<br />
Hospitality and Catering course. Academic<br />
studies will include English and Maths<br />
with the aim of developing individual<br />
standards towards national Functional Skills<br />
qualifications.<br />

This course is designed to explore the<br />
personal performance skills within each<br />
learner. The students will develop confidence<br />
by participating in a range of performance<br />
related activities including mime, acting,<br />
singing and creative art. The students will<br />
learn about expression and how they can<br />
inform emotions through performance.<br />
The course is aimed at preparing learners<br />
for the next step in Performing Arts and<br />
could lead to a mainstream course in the<br />
arts. Some students will progress into<br />
Supported Internships, in recognition of their<br />
confidence and people skills development.<br />

The Multimedia Programme aims to help<br />
learners develop skills in a wide range<br />
of subjects, with the main focus being<br />
photography, filmmaking and computing.<br />
Students work on acquiring theory and<br />
practical knowledge on how to take good<br />
quality photographs and videos. Students<br />
also participate in a variety of trips to<br />
galleries related to multimedia as well as<br />
accessing different places around London<br />
where they can put new skills into practice<br />
and gather material for their portfolios. They<br />
then use different technologies available to<br />
edit these videos and photos.<br />
Students will also develop knowledge on<br />
how to use computers, iPads and laptops.<br />
They will learn about many different tools<br />
available on the internet, such as creating<br />
your own newsletter, blogging and using<br />
social media for educational purposes.<br />
Learners will also have the opportunity to<br />
develop their English, Maths and personal<br />
fitness.<br />
