MATHS & ENGLISH
The College works to support the development of Maths and English.
Achieving Maths and English at GCSE grade A*—C is essential for
progression within further education and on to Higher Education and
employment. If you have yet to achieve a minimum grade C we will
support you in studying these subjects in order to achieve this standard.
We want you to leave our college with a good grasp of Maths and English,
to ensure you are well equipped to work effectively in the industry of your
choice.
WORK EXPERIENCE
PERSONAL TUTOR
The level of pastoral care is a particular strength of the College. Much like
university, students will have a personal tutor who ensures that not only
the course is going well but that all other factors are addressed, such as
providing careers advice, study plans or issue resolution. They are here to
support you in achieving and surpassing your goals.
Work experience enhances theoretical learning by allowing you to apply
your knowledge to real work situations. Most of our courses provide a
number of employer links to allow you to gain work experience that is
relevant and exciting for you, which will also look great on your CV.
SKILLS INTO PRACTICE
Courses are developed to give you the best chance of getting the career
you want. You will be encouraged to take part in extra-curricular activities
and projects where you put your skills into practice. Whether it’s a startup
project, national competition or community work, these activities will
help you develop yourself to progress to the next stage in your career, or
build an outstanding CV and personal statement.
