ExifTool allows you write whatever information you require; it extracts thumbnail
images, preview images, and JPEG images embedded in RAW files; it lets you add your
own tags; and it recognizes thousands of different tags from thousands of different camera
models.

Described as “the mother of all EXIF utilities” in Open Photography Forums, Phil
Harvey’s ExifTool is widely recognized as being the most powerful Exif tool available.
However, some functions rely on a command-line interface, which users may find
archaic. Do not let this put you off. It shows the full Exif information if you simply
drop an image file onto the program’s icon (in the Windows version). Richard A. Victor
has also written an interface for it called ExifAuto, so you do not need to use the
command line at all.

Description
IExif Pro supports the Exif 2.21 standard and allows you to view Exif, GPS, and IPTC
data. It supports JPEG and TIFF image formats and camera manufacturers’ special tags,
including those from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, and Sigma. It runs not only as standalone
software in Windows but also as a plug-in for Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox.

It should be noted that this is a viewer only. If you want to edit Exif data, you need a
different utility, such as Opanda PowerExif.
