Purpose: A toolkit for replicating over 140 analog photographic effects by digital means
Description
PhotoKit is a Photoshop plug-in that lets photographers create analog effects in an
analog-style way. It works only on RGB images (not CMYK, Lab, or Grayscale). All the
effects create a new layer that’s labeled with the name of the effect. Hence, all the procedures
are completely non-destructive.
The effects are grouped in sets, such as the Toning Set, the Burn Tone set, the Color
Balance set, Dodge Tone set, Image Enhancement set, and so on. Together they make
up a powerful battery of weapons with which to tackle the task in hand. It is particularly
strong on grayscale conversion, the color-to-black and white set having 12 effects.
The same is true of Tone Correction, which has 25 effects. It is a package that appeals
especially to landscape photographers seeking the highest quality images.
