Description
PhotoRescue can recover data from SD cards, CompactFlash, memory sticks, microdrives,
and other media. It displays thumbnail previews of the images it recovers, and
then saves them to a location of your choice. Its algorithms are optimized for JPEG,
TIFF, GIF, and BMP files, but it also supports RAW files such as CRW, NEF, ORF, and
MRW together with many types of movie files.
Comments
First introduced in 2001, PhotoRescue is a widely used and thoroughly proven product.
It won “Best Product” award in the Dutch Personal Computer Magazine, (May
2003), and has since been improved and upgraded. It was also reviewed in-depth by
editors at Imaging Resource (www.imaging-resource.com), who found it “hard to beat,”
and called it “our hands-down favorite.”
