If you create lots of effects with your image editor, or acquire them from other sources,
Plugin Commander can help you view and manage them efficiently. It comes in two
editions: Lite freeware and a Professional commercial edition with many additional
features.
Plugin Commander Pro acts as a library from which you can select the plug-ins and
effects to be displayed in the host application—which can be Photoshop, Premiere, Paint
Shop Pro, and many other editors. When working with Photoshop, it deals directly with
image formats, plug-ins, and effect types and allows you to apply plug-ins to the images,
one at a time or in batches.
Plugin Commander Pro can batch convert between different formats, resize and rename
images, and convert among four Filter Factory plug-in formats and operating systems—
Photoshop, Premiere, Windows, and Macintosh.

The Pro edition of Plugin Commander not only works with Photoshop-compatible
filter plug-ins but also lets you view Photoshop Actions, Paint Shop Pro Tubes,
QuarkXPress XTensions, QuickTime Extensions, and many others. You can enable/
disable any of them, whatever the host, but you cannot necessarily change the category
or use the picture editor on them. The Lite edition is very limited by comparison to the
commercial edition and runs significantly slower.
