298 JAlbum The Digital Photographer's Software Guide Vendor: JAlbum Purpose: Free gallery software for publishing images to any Web page or sharing directly from your computer Figure 26.2 JAlbum offers an instant preview of your virtual gallery. Description JAlbum is a popular program for creating online galleries that you can post to any Website, together with text and comments. It lets you choose color themes, layouts, picture and thumbnail sizes, music, and method of navigation. A freshly designed interface makes it easy to find your images and then place them using drag-and-drop tools. You can also edit comments, rotate images, and run slide shows directly from your local hard disk. To the albums you can add any file type, not just images, together with icons to link to the appropriate resource on the user’s computer (such as a PDF reader for PDF files). It also lets you plug in image filters to add watermarks and logos; Exif and IPTC support are standard.
