the dreams will be true; otherwise, they will be<br />

confused dreams.<br />

Be aware that fortune telling is derived from the fifth essence<br />

called revelation. It is one of the imagining forces of the mind<br />

which goes through the particulars until it becomes fully aware<br />

of them, and then it can advise him of these particulars either<br />

when he is asleep or awake. If the imagining force is ideal, the<br />

particulars will be available to him similar to the mirror, as we<br />

mentioned before, which reflects and reports these particulars<br />

as they are. However, this information pertains only to the<br />

particulars; it does not deal with mental perception. If he only<br />

becomes ideally aware of these perceptions, he becomes wise.<br />

But if he becomes ideally aware of both, he becomes a prophet,<br />

and this is limited to the persons who receive perfect revelation<br />

from the First Creator. In this case, what the Creator transmits<br />

through his revelation to the active mind, will be transmitted<br />

from the active mind to his acted upon mind. However, when<br />

this revelation is transmitted from the active mind to his<br />

imagining force, his acted-upon mind becomes wise, but if it is<br />

transmitted to his imagining faculty, he becomes a prophet. This<br />

person will be in the highest rank of mankind and the happiest.<br />

This is the source, as well as the end of every good. We seek<br />

virtues to be happy, and we get there by improving our<br />

manners, taking care of our households, and reforming and<br />

uniting the Ummah 28 by which it can attain happiness. The<br />

knowledge of beings, how, why and what these beings are, is<br />

the theoretical part of it. Beginning with tangibles we ascend<br />

from this point to theological levels according to the individual<br />

potential. This is the real happy and ideal person. Happiness is<br />

the righteousness which is sought for the sake of righteousness;<br />

it is not sought at any time for achieving other things because<br />
