and a complex shell for the whole human. The image of the<br />

whole human is an idol and a shell for the whole spirit and the<br />

whole spirit is an idol and a shell for the mind. The whole mind<br />

is an idol and a shell for the light from which the mind evolved.<br />

The light is the primordial source of the whole mind. Similarly,<br />

what is below that, which is higher, is simple and primordial to<br />

that which is below it and in addition to it and what is below<br />

that is always a complex image for what is above it and in<br />

addition to it. In fact, the human being is the complex image<br />

which uses the other bodies of nature.<br />

He, who wants to gain the truth of this knowledge, ought to<br />

be virtuous, pure in his mind and body from all sins and then<br />

he will see it and observe it in its reality.<br />

We did not, by presenting this subject, may Allah help you,<br />

deviate from our objective. In fact, this is the objective of this<br />

book because it is the principle for the science of talismans. If<br />

you have any experience in this field, you will realize this and<br />

acknowledge that it is obviously magic. Plato, the virtuous and<br />

an authority in this science, deals with this subject in his book,<br />

Timaeus, and elaborates a great deal on images and he explains<br />

this sought objective. However, he makes the conclusion vague<br />

like other philosophers who act in the same manner to protect<br />

their wisdom from uninformed people as did Proclus.<br />

To them vagueness is the ambiguity of meaning so that<br />

whoever wants to clear up this ambiguity must do that with<br />

reflection, deliberation and thorough examination in order to<br />

distinguish it from whatever it has been mixed with from the<br />

obvious matters. Of these arts there are two kinds: the obvious<br />

and the concealed. The concealed art is that which needs<br />

analogy and introductions so that it becomes clear to you or that<br />

can be achieved by observation, reasoning, reflection and<br />

deliberation.<br />

Reasoning can be attained in many ways, some of which are<br />

relating the present to the past or the part to the source by a<br />
