PETER D. GARRUCHO, JR.<br />

Mr. Garrucho, 70, Filipino, has been a Director of<br />

<strong>EDC</strong> since November 2007. Until his retirement in<br />

January 2008, he served as Managing Director<br />

for Energy of FPHC and as Vice Chairman and<br />

CEO of First Gen Corp. where he continues to<br />

be a Director. He also sits in subsidiaries of these<br />

corporations including the First Gas Holdings<br />

Group of companies (First Gas Power, FGP<br />

Corp., Unified Holdings, First Gen Hydro Corp.,<br />

FG Bukidnon Power Corp., First Gen Energy<br />

Solutions, Inc., Red Vulcan Holdings Corp.,<br />

Prime Terracota Holdings Corp., First Philippine<br />

Industrial Corp. and First Balfour Corp.). He<br />

also sits as a Director in <strong>EDC</strong> Geothermal<br />

Corporation. At present, he is also Vice Chairman<br />

of Franklin Baker Corp. where he has a significant<br />

shareholding and Chairman of Strategic Equities<br />

Corp., as a majority stockholder.<br />

He served in the government as Secretary of the<br />

Department of Tourism and the Department of<br />

Trade and Industry during the administration<br />

of President Corazon C. Aquino. He was also<br />

Executive Secretary and Presidential Adviser on<br />

Energy Affairs under President Fidel V. Ramos.<br />

In 2000, he was given the award of an Honorary<br />

Officer of the Order of the British Empire by Her<br />

Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II.<br />

Mr. Garrucho earned his Master in Business<br />

Administration degree from Stanford University<br />

(1971) and his AB-BSBA degree from the De La<br />

Salle University (1966).<br />

JONATHAN C. RUSSELL<br />

Mr. Russell, 50, British, has been a Director of <strong>EDC</strong><br />

since November 2007. He is also an Executive<br />

Vice President of First Gen Corp. and Director<br />

of GCGI. He was previously Vice President<br />

of Generation Ventures Associates (GVA), an<br />

international developer of independent power<br />

projects based in Boston, USA, responsible for<br />

the development of 1,720MW of IPP projects<br />

in Asia. Prior to joining GVA, he worked for BG<br />

PLC based in London and Boston, and was<br />

responsible for the development of power and<br />

natural gas distribution projects.<br />

Mr. Russell has an MBA with Distinction in<br />

International Business & Export Management<br />

from the City University Business School, London,<br />

England (1989) and a Bachelor of Science with<br />

Honours in Chemical & Administrative Sciences<br />

from the City University, London, England (1987).<br />

ERNESTO B. PANTANGCO<br />

Mr. Pantangco, 64, Filipino, has been a Director<br />

of <strong>EDC</strong> since November 2007 and is also the<br />

Company’s Executive Vice President (EVP). He is<br />

also an EVP of First Gen Corp. and several <strong>EDC</strong><br />

subsidiaries: <strong>EDC</strong> Geothermal Corporation,<br />

Green Core Geothermal Inc., Bacman<br />

Geothermal Inc., Bacman Energy Development<br />

Corporation, Southern Negros Geothermal,<br />

Inc., Kayabon Geothermal Inc., <strong>EDC</strong> Wind<br />

Chairman of the National Renewable Energy<br />

Board (NREB) and was recently asked to be<br />

Chairman of MAP Committee on Energy.<br />

Mr. Pantangco has a Bachelor of Science in<br />

Mechanical Engineering degree from the De La<br />

Salle University (1973) and Master of Business<br />

Administration degree from the Asian Institute of<br />

Management, dean’s list (1976). He is a registered<br />

mechanical engineer and placed 6th in the 1973<br />

board exams.<br />

Corporate Secretary<br />

Atty. Delfin, 46, Filipino, was appointed by the<br />

Board in July 2010. He is also the Corporate<br />

Atty. Delfin graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in<br />

Political Science degree from the University of the<br />

Philippines (1989) and earned his Bachelor<br />

of Laws degree from the University of the<br />

ANA MARIA A. KATIGBAK–LIM<br />

Assistant Corporate Secretary<br />

Atty. Katigbak–Lim, 45, Filipino, was appointed by<br />

the Board in January 2007. She is a senior partner<br />

at the law firm of Castillo, Laman, Tan, Pantaleon<br />

& San Jose. Atty. Katigbak–Lim graduated cum<br />

laude at the University of the Philippines with an<br />

A. B. degree. She is a graduate of the University<br />

of the Philippines College of Law (1994) and a<br />

member of the Phi Kappa Phi international honor<br />

society. Her practice areas are corporate law,<br />

securities, and litigation. She was admitted to the<br />

Philippine Bar in 1995.<br />

11 ARTURO T. VALDEZ<br />

Mr. Valdez, 66, Filipino, has been an Independent<br />

Director of <strong>EDC</strong> since July 2011, and is a member<br />

of its Audit and Governance Committee and the<br />

C<strong>SR</strong> Committee. He served as Undersecretary<br />

at the Department of Transportation and<br />

Communication (DOTC) from 1996 to 2004 and<br />

was appointed Special Envoy to the Middle<br />

East from October 2007 to March 2008. During<br />

his stint in government, he was instrumental in<br />

reforming the maritime industry and rationalizing<br />

the land transport sector.<br />

He was past president (1974 to 1986) of the<br />

National Mountaineering Federation of the<br />

Philippines, Inc., the largest organization<br />

of mountaineering clubs in the country. He<br />
