Qasimi is the Chairman of the<br />

Sharjah Department of Seaports and<br />

Customs and the Hamriyah Free<br />

Zone Authority (HFZA). He is also a<br />

member of the Sharjah Executive<br />

Council.<br />

Established in 1995, Hamriyah Port<br />

has transformed itself into a modern<br />

maritime hub ser ving major<br />

investors in safely manufacturing<br />

and transporting their products<br />

across the region and the rest of the<br />

world.<br />

Under Sheikh Khaled's guidance and<br />

leadership, Hamriyah Port today<br />

boasts of vibrant economic activities<br />

with ships having access to <strong>14</strong>-<br />

meter deep water port and 7-meter<br />

deep inner harbor, among other<br />

amenities. In recent years, major<br />

international investors from across<br />

the world have set-up businesses in<br />

the zone amid rising market demand.<br />

The freezone offers pre-built<br />

warehouses, factories and office<br />

units to suit every investor's<br />

business needs.<br />

and ISO 9000 no doubt personifies<br />

About Hamriyah Port<br />

The Hamriyah Free Zone Authority<br />

was established in 1995 through an<br />

Emiri Decree that seeks to promote<br />

healthy free trade in the region.<br />

Located in Sharjah, the only Emirate<br />

with ports crossing through the<br />

Arabian Gulf's west coast and east<br />

coast with direct access to the Indian<br />

Ocean, and an international airport<br />

which connects to 230 cities,<br />
