Khalifa Port –This port is built to<br />

accommodate the largest ships with<br />

capacity to handle up to 35 million<br />

tons of general cargo by 2030.<br />

The region's only semi-automated<br />

container terminal is 2.7 km long<br />

with a container yard with nine of the<br />

world's largest ship-to-quay cranes,<br />

42 automated stacking cranes, and<br />

23 shuttle carriers. Its onshore port<br />

area connects it with KIZAD as well<br />

a s f a c i l i t a t e s f o r c u s t o m s ,<br />

immigration, container freight,<br />

inspection and security facilities.<br />

Zayed Port – The oldest commercial<br />

port in Abu Dhabi, Zayed Port<br />

continues to serve the country for<br />

more than 45 years now. Since<br />

moving all container traffic and Rollon-Roll-off<br />

cargo to Khalifa Port,<br />

Zayed Port has expanded its status<br />

as a premier regional hub to<br />

encompass cruise tourism, as well<br />

as general and bulk cargo.<br />

The 5.1km2 port consists of three<br />

basins; the Zayed Port Basin for deep<br />

water vessels including general<br />

cargo vessels and cruise liners; the<br />

Free Port Basin for smaller vessels,<br />

tugs, barges and service crafts; and<br />

the New Free Port Basin which<br />

accommodates vessels undergoing<br />

SHARJAH<br />

Hamriyah Port – This deepwater<br />

seaport part of the Hamriyah Free<br />

Zone in the emirate of Sharjah. With<br />

two container terminals with berth<br />

depths of <strong>14</strong> meters, this port is<br />

principally used to facilitate<br />
