Khalifa Port –This port is built to
accommodate the largest ships with
capacity to handle up to 35 million
tons of general cargo by 2030.
The region's only semi-automated
container terminal is 2.7 km long
with a container yard with nine of the
world's largest ship-to-quay cranes,
42 automated stacking cranes, and
23 shuttle carriers. Its onshore port
area connects it with KIZAD as well
a s f a c i l i t a t e s f o r c u s t o m s ,
immigration, container freight,
inspection and security facilities.
Zayed Port – The oldest commercial
port in Abu Dhabi, Zayed Port
continues to serve the country for
more than 45 years now. Since
moving all container traffic and Rollon-Roll-off
cargo to Khalifa Port,
Zayed Port has expanded its status
as a premier regional hub to
encompass cruise tourism, as well
as general and bulk cargo.
The 5.1km2 port consists of three
basins; the Zayed Port Basin for deep
water vessels including general
cargo vessels and cruise liners; the
Free Port Basin for smaller vessels,
tugs, barges and service crafts; and
the New Free Port Basin which
accommodates vessels undergoing

SHARJAH
Hamriyah Port – This deepwater
seaport part of the Hamriyah Free
Zone in the emirate of Sharjah. With
two container terminals with berth
depths of 14 meters, this port is
principally used to facilitate
