Transact XML 1. Go to Data > Database > Create. The Create Database/List page displays. 2. Select Single Opt-in Database (or Seed List) for the Database Type. 3. Type a new name for the database (must be unique and not previously used by your organization). 4. Select Shared (you must save the new database in a Shared folder). 5. Click Next to go to the Create Database/List page where you will add your custom database fields. 6. Type 'SPOP' (or whatever you choose) in the Field Name field. 7. In the Field Type drop-down list, select Text (or the option that best suits your needs). 8. Click the Add Field button to save your changes. 9. Click the Edit Unique Identifier button. 10. Remove the selection from the Email check box, then click to place a selection in the SPOP check box. 11. Click Save. 12. (Optional) To add additional custom fields, follow steps 6-8 above. 13. Transact XML SPOP appears with a key beside it in the list of fields. The key indicates this is a Non-Email Key (NEK) database. Note: A default value is not necessary for this field, or any other field in this database. This new database is not a permanent collection of contact data. The database updates with information such as the contact’s email address, opt-in date, and other system-generated fields.
