Abstract<br />

In this research, the effects of breeding age and energy restriction on fattening performance<br />

and plasma leptin levels of broiler were investigated. This goal 504 male chicks, obtained<br />

from young (27 wk), middle aged (38 wk) and old aged (60 wk) broiler breeders were used.<br />

Each age group was divided (energy restriction and normal feeding) into two groups. Energy<br />

restriction groups were fed between 7-14 days with energy-reduced diet. During the experiment<br />

body weight, body weight gain, feed consumption and feed conversion ratio were measured<br />

weekly and also plasma leptin level was determined. Results showed that breeder age affected<br />
