Capitolo IV - Area di progetto OSI-Ghia
Con l’avvento del boom economico, il triangolo compreso tra le due ferrovie
divenne uno dei fulcri della produzione industriale del capoluogo piemontese.
Nel 1958, l’architetto Nicola Diulgheroff progettò la nuova sede centrale
della Carrozzeria Ghia, azienda automobilistica fondata nel 1916 a Torino
da Giacinto Ghia e dalla famiglia di imprenditori Gariglio come Carrozzeria
Ghia & Gariglio (fig.6, fig.7).
The triangle between the two railroads became one of the cores of industrial
piedmontiese production, during the economic boom period.
In the 1958, the architect Nicola Diulgheroff designed the new headquarter of
“Carrozzeria Ghia”, automotive company founded in 1916 in Turin by Giacinto
Ghia and the Gariglio family as “Carrozzeria Ghia & Gariglio” (fig.6).

Il complesso industriale situato all’interno dell’attuale ambito Ghia era
costituito inizialmente da un volume a due piani fuori terra con tetto a botte
in cemento armato connesso a due stecche ad un piano della medesima
tipologia costruttiva. I 3 edifici ospitavano gli uffici della dirigenza, sale
conferenze e i locali destinati alla progettazione.
The industrial complex placed inside the actual Ghia area was originally
made up of a 2 stories volume with barrel vault roof, linked to two one story
stick-buildings of the same constructive system.
The 3 buildings hosted manager offices, conference halls, and design
laboratories.
In adiacenza a questi ultimi, furono costruiti una serie di bassi fabbricati
destinati alla produzione e all’assemblaggio, poi demoliti in anni recenti
a causa dello smantellamento e alla bonifica del comparto industriale. Ad
oggi è presente il solo edificio prospiciente su Via Montefeltro, destinato
all’ufficio stile.
Adjacent to the latters, a serie of low buildings were built, as production and
assembly spaces, then demolished in recent years to clean up the industrial
wastes. Nowadays it just stands up the building facing Montefeltro street.
