Re-Osi Ghia_Thesis

Nel 1961, le O.S.I acronimo di Officine Stampaggi Industriali, fondate
dall’Ingegnere Luigi Segrè e dall’avvocato Arrigo Olivetti, acquisirono dalla
Società Anonima Trafilati i fabbricati dell’attuale ambito Osi Est. Nello stesso
anno vennero avviati i lavori di costruzione della palazzina in mattoni faccia
vista e Klinker all’angolo tra Via Bertini e Via Agostino da Montefeltro ad
opera dell’Architetto Diulgheroff (fig.8).
In the 1961, the O.S.I.s (“Officine Stampaggi Industriali”), founded by engineer
Luigi Segrè and lawyer Arrigo Olivetti, bought from “Società Anonima
Trafilati” the actual Osi-East buildings.
In the same year the construction of the bricks and Klinker building,
between Bertini and Agostino da Montefeltro streets, designed by architect
Diulgheroff, started (fig.8).

L’industria trasferitasi inizialmente in questi locali come supporto
alla produzione di automobili da parte della carrozzeria Ghia finì
successivamente per diventarne parte. Nacque così nell’anno successivo
l’industria automobilistica Osi-Ghia che potè contare su figure di livello
come Giorgetto Giugiaro e registrò lo sviluppo di importanti fuoriserie su
base FIAT, Alfa Romeo e Ford (fig 9).

Ghia was born, becoming relevant for collaborations such as with Giorgetto
Giugiaro and the development of some important car models for FIAT, Alfa
Romeo and Ford (fig.9)
Con la morte del co-fondatore Luigi Segrè, la Ghia venne ceduta e dopo
alcuni passaggi di proprietà fu acquisita interamente dalla Ford che nel 1973
