Learn to respond to complex water rescue situations using a variety
of rescue techniques. Develop knowledge, skills, judgement
and fitness. Pre-requisite: 13 yrs or Bronze Star Certification. Required

LSS ASSISTANT SWIM INSTRUCTOR
Through classroom learning and in-water practice, this prepares
candidates to help with swimming and lifesaving classes. Learn
key principles of teaching and mastering progressions and the
roles and responsibilities of instructors and their assistants.
Course prerequisite: 14 years old and current Bronze Cross
certification. Manual: Canadian Lifesaving Manual and Assistant
Instructor Workbook PLEASE NOTE: An additional 15 hour assistant
instructing/teaching component will be scheduled to be
completed with the instructor and the candidate on an alternative
day that is chosen by the candidate.
