PROGRAM INFORMATIONReturned ChequeWe know that mistakes sometimes happen, but it is necessary toadminister a $45.00 charge for each returned cheque.Accident InsuranceEach participant is responsible for his/her own hospital and medical coverage.The City of Barrie will provide every safeguard for the health and welfare ofeach participant, but will be released from all actions, damages, claims anddemands, whatsoever arising out of participation in our programs.Exclusion DatesFrom time to time facilities are unavailable. These dates will be noted onyour receipt. Any additional dates - you will be notified by the instructor.Email and Personal InformationAll participant and/or guardian information collected by the Recreation ServicesDepartment will be kept confidential and will ONLY be used for Recreationrelated purposes. Please be sure to provide us with a CURRENT email accountwhere we will be able to send you any program updates i.e. class cancellations orchanges, receipts and special offers. If you do not wish to receive anything otherthan direct correspondence let us know so we can mark your account as private.H.S.T. 13% H.S.T. is included in fees where applicable.Cancellation of ClassesClasses may be cancelled due to low registration. Participants are offered afull refund or transfer (based on availability). Should it be necessary to cancela class, every attempt will be made to re-schedule the class. However, if theclass cannot be re-scheduled no reduction in registration fees will be issued.Photographs/VideoThe Recreation Services Department occasionally takes photographs of ourclasses to promote City of Barrie programs. If you have any concerns regardingthis, please contact us. Individuals who wish to take personal pictures of theirown families are asked to refrain until parents’ day, usually the last class.Rec Access/ Financial AssistanceIt is the belief of the City of Barrie that municipal recreational opportunities areavailable to all residents. City of Barrie residents experiencing financial difficultymay request a fee assistance application by calling 705-739-4200. Formsonline at barrie.ca.Withdraws, Transfers and Refund RequestsAll program cancellations, membership changes and refund requests must beforwarded to Recreation Information at 705-739-4287 (automated phone line) orrecreation.information@barrie.ca. In your message, please include the name of theparticipant, home phone number, barcode of the course or type of membership(s).Transfers are subject to availability and appropriate placements.Advising an Instructor, Client Service Staff or not attending classes is not considerednotice of program cancellation. You must call or email Recreation Information.Transfers within the same session will have no administrative fees charged.A Recreation Activity Kit is available to borrow, free of charge, byBarrie residents and not-for-profit community organizations servingBarrie residents. We askthat parents/guardians share the following camp rules/guidelineswith their child/ren:• Respect others and their property• Listen to the Leaders• Hands off• Stay with the group• Use appropriate language• No bullying behavior• HAVE FUN!If the above guidelines cannot be met, our Fair Play Follow Upprocess will be implemented.
