• Liaise with community based stakeholders to
create good relationship
• Liaise with school based stakeholders
• Ensure sound interaction between departments as
necessary for schools
• Liaise with relevant District Officials to ensure the
problems in schools are addressed
• Co-ordinate all activities with regard to schools
• Present information effectively
• Prepare and submit written reports on assigned
responsibilities
• Liaise with relevant head office personnel to ensure
effective support for schools
• Regularly submit written and oral reports
• Liaise with stakeholders inside and outside the
Department to keep them abreast of developments
• Communicate both verbally and in writing to Unions
• Other job requirements in the performance area

The job requirement that was viewed generally as least important was;

When one examines the responses by the various job classes (Table 76), it is
clear that while generally all EDOs see most of these job requirements as
critical, Subject Advisors are less positive in this regard. Subject Advisors view
these responsibilities as important, especially in respect to:
� Presenting information effectively, and
� Regularly submitting written and oral reports
As a group, however, Subject Advisors seem less favourable to:
� Liaising with community-based stakeholders
� Interacting with other Departments in the interest of the school
� Coordinating activities in respect to schools, and
