Assessment of Needs and Capacity of District Office Professional Staff

PURPOSE & OBJECTIVES
The purpose of this workshop is to provide school personnel and other
education stakeholders associated with the school, the opportunity to assess
gaps in support in order to re-examine the responsibilities of District Office
Professional Staff and their capacity to undertake these responsibilities.
OBJECTIVES OF THE WORKSHOP
1. To promote reflection on the various activities and tasks that are
necessary to promote effective functioning of the school.
2. To assess gaps in District support in addressing school responsibilities,
expectations, challenges and issues
3. To reflect on the effectiveness with which specific school responsibilities
are undertaken
4. To begin to determine gaps in the capacity of the District Office
Professional Staff which can be addressed through an ongoing
programme of training.
