JOB REQUIREMENTS<br />

• Promote National Campaign <strong>of</strong> Culture <strong>of</strong><br />

Teaching, Learning <strong>and</strong> Service (COLTS)<br />

• Assess pr<strong>of</strong>essional development needs by using<br />

questionnaires, informal methods <strong>and</strong><br />

development appraisals<br />

• Support / plan staff development activities based<br />

on needs <strong>and</strong> which are congruent with principles<br />

<strong>and</strong> values <strong>of</strong> the applicable policy frameworks<br />

<strong>and</strong> plans<br />

• Other job requirements in the performance area<br />

• Ensure that requisitions, returns <strong>and</strong> surveys are<br />

submitted timeously by Principal <strong>and</strong> responsible<br />

<strong>of</strong>ficials<br />

• Ensure that all record books are in place <strong>and</strong> up<br />

to date<br />

• Ensure the SGBs <strong>and</strong> RCLs are elected<br />

• Ensure that SGB <strong>and</strong> RCL elections are planned<br />

<strong>and</strong> run effectively hat SGBs <strong>and</strong> RCLs are<br />

elected<br />

• Assertiveness in h<strong>and</strong>ling unpleasant or difficult<br />

issues<br />

• Other job requirements in the performance area<br />

• Assisting schools in the preparation <strong>of</strong> school<br />

development <strong>and</strong> other plans<br />

• Ensure that plans <strong>and</strong> programmes for schools<br />

are properly developed<br />

• Guide, co-ordinate <strong>and</strong> support principals in<br />

whole school development<br />

• Other job requirements in the performance area<br />

• Advise Principal, SMTs <strong>and</strong> SGBs on school<br />

budgets, financial statements <strong>and</strong> audited reports<br />

• Advise schools on the planning, utilization <strong>and</strong><br />

monitoring <strong>of</strong> budgets in order to meet school<br />

objectives<br />

• Manage one’s own budget for schools in an<br />

effective manner<br />

• Underst<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> comply with policies <strong>and</strong><br />

procedures related to budget <strong>and</strong> finance<br />
