JOB REQUIREMENTS<br />

• Ensure that schools are capacitated in Section 20<br />

<strong>and</strong> 21 functions <strong>and</strong> monitor the implementation<br />

there<strong>of</strong>.<br />

• Assist schools in the development <strong>and</strong><br />

implementation <strong>of</strong> systems to ensure sound<br />

administration including procurement, personnel<br />

administration <strong>and</strong> reporting.<br />

• Assist schools in mobilising funds to undertake<br />

their responsibilities<br />

• Underst<strong>and</strong>ing the financial implications <strong>of</strong><br />

propositions<br />

• Manage, monitor <strong>and</strong> advise on financial risks in<br />

schools<br />

• Assist schools in financial accounting <strong>and</strong><br />

reporting<br />

• Other job requirements in the performance area<br />

• Time management<br />

• Managing paper work<br />

• Managing scheduling <strong>and</strong> appointments<br />

• Other job requirements in the performance area<br />

• Monitor, evaluate <strong>and</strong> ensure the proper<br />

implementation <strong>of</strong> legislation related to education<br />

• Provide assistance in policy formulation <strong>and</strong><br />

implementation<br />

• Ensure that schools have proper policies <strong>and</strong><br />

procedures in place<br />

• Ensure that SMTs <strong>and</strong> SGBs are trained on all<br />

relevant acts, statutes <strong>and</strong> regulations<br />

• Assist schools in adopting <strong>and</strong> applying codes <strong>of</strong><br />

conduct<br />

• Ensure sound discipline in schools<br />

• Ensure compliance with all policies <strong>and</strong><br />

guidelines related to curriculum<br />

• Other job requirements in the performance area<br />

• Lead <strong>and</strong> co-ordinate the translation <strong>of</strong> vision into<br />

policy<br />
