Setorial Panorama of Brazilian Culture - 2011|2012

The project
Intended for the productive chain of culture, it was based on the perception that the
cultural sector lacks information and reference material for the planning of its activities. To
do so, this national project, entitled Sectorial Panorama of Brazilian Culture, aims to provide
quality, pioneering and innovative information in the cultural sector and facilitate the activity
of the players in this productive chain – agents (artists, producers and suppliers), enablers
(private initiative and government), diffusers (points of distribution of cultural products and
disseminators) and the consumer public.
Sectorial Panorama of Brazilian Culture is a research project, developed from 3
methodologies combined, which cuts the cultural sector as object of study; researched in
two scopes: from the point of view of the ones who produce and of the ones who invest in
culture.
Such research is intended to be continuous through various forms of collection and
analysis of information to, in the long run, form collections and historical series and,
therefore, provide support of increasing, continuous and periodic quality.
