Tea Party
Submitted by Tyla Davis
A skeleton walked into a restaurant and ordered a glass of milk and a mop.
Little Emily was given
a tea set for her fourth
birthday. She was so
excited to have elaborate
tea parties with her
dolls and her parents.
Shortly thereafter,
Emily’s mother had
to leave the house
for a couple of weeks
to care for her sick
grandmother. She told
Emily to be good for
her father and to keep
the tea parties going
until she returned.
Emily took her job as
a tea party hostess
very seriously in her
mother’s absence. She
made sure to bring her
father several cups
of “tea” each day. Of
course, the tea was
just a saucer of water,
but her father made a
big deal about drinking
each and every cup.
When Emily’s mother
returned home, she
asked Emily if she was
a good girl.

“Yes Mommy,” replied
Emily. “I made tea for
Daddy.”
Her Dad made sure to
sing her praises about
her tea-making skills.
Emily happily skipped
away, proud of herself
for a job well done.
After she was out of
earshot, Emily’s mother
sighed, “Of course, you
do realize that the only
water Emily can reach
is in the toilet, right?”

if I found everything. Why? What are they hiding?
