must be able to stand through time while
retaining its aesthetic. The second is the experience,
the exhilaration the building brings.
It is important to give a new experience to the
users. The third is the locality - how the work
fits in a specific context. And last but not least
– the vision of management and problemsolving
that leads to the simplest but most
effective solution.”
Wansiri Hospital is located on Rama III Road,
with a residential district and a community
mall nearby. Due to the rectangular land plot,
the design of the building is a simple one that
goes in line with the functional programs and
requirements as well as the building regulations.
From the outside, it can be seen that
the interior spaces of different functions and
utilities are clearly partitioned. Even though
Wansiri is a specialized hospital that focuses
on health and beauty, its internal functional
requirements are similar to general hospitals.
These include the reception area, inspection
rooms, operation rooms, patient rooms, and
parking elevators at the back. These areas
are packed inside the six-storey building,
and different utilities for each one can be
seen from the exterior through the façade
materials.
Different line patterns are also applied to compose the
façade, walls, and interior spaces, while the curved line
is used to design the lighting in the interior varied in
each area.
