On each side of the diagonal of a quadrilateral,

there are two line segments adjacent to the

diagonal. So there are two triangles that share

the diagonal as a side.

4. Use geometry words to describe a way to separate

triangles into other triangles.

A segment drawn from a vertex perpendicular to

the opposite side will create two right triangles.

In isosceles and equilateral triangles, these two

right triangles will be the same size and shape.
