where I have not sown, and gather where I have not winnowed. 27 <strong>The</strong>n you<br />
ought to have given my money to the bankers, and at my coming I should have<br />
received what was my own with interest.<br />
28 “ ‘So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. 29 For to<br />
everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from<br />
him who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And throw the<br />
unprofitable servant into outer darkness, where there will be weeping and<br />

Slothful servant meaning – Lazy, sluggish, or indolent. A slothful servant not only<br />
doesn’t want to work but will go out of their way to avoid work. <strong>The</strong>y are<br />
ungrateful, erroneous in reasoning, unjust, fault-finding, accusing, self-jusfying,<br />
fearful, and wicked.<br />
Have you met anyone that fits the definion of a slothful servant, do you? Do you<br />
have any areas in your life that have the characterisc traits of the slothful that<br />
you should deal with?<br />

Proverbs 19:15 Slothfulness casts into a deep sleep, and an idle soul will suffer<br />
hunger.<br />
<strong>The</strong> punishment of the slothful servant: “throw the unprofitable servant into<br />
outer darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.<br />
