Say a Salvaon Prayer?<br />
I read a Google ad that said, “Say a Salvaon Prayer and Receive Jesus Christ<br />
<strong>To</strong>day.” As a businessman, nothing irritates me more than inefficiency, and as an<br />
evangelist, nothing irritates me more than a Chrisan who deceives a person right<br />
into walking through the gates to hell.<br />
Many of us will know by heart Romans 10:9-10. This Scripture has become the<br />
basis of the means many Chrisans today use to minister salvaon.<br />
Romans 10:9-10 - “that if you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and believe<br />
in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved, 10 for<br />
with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is<br />
made unto salvaon.”<br />
By minister salvaon I mean many Chrisans have been taught to have their<br />
hearer pray a “prayer of salvaon” and then call it done. Some celebrate by<br />
clapping and cheering aer the hearer has said the “prayer of salvaon” and most<br />
oen you will hear someone say, “<strong>The</strong> angels are rejoicing because you are now<br />
saved” (a reference to Luke 15:1-7).<br />
This all sounds super spiritual, and the words seem to come right out of the Bible.<br />
Well almost. We can easily put a few words together, taking some from here and<br />
some from there, and then make them say anything we want and communicate<br />
our mix of words out loud as if they are truth, but in the Bible, there is no “prayer<br />
of salvaon” or reference to praying a “prayer of salvaon” and you will be saved.<br />
