Peter took advantage of the gathered crowd to point to the fact that God had
done this through them because Jesus now lived in them.
Peter pointed out their sin, that they denied the son of God and asked that a
murderer be released among them so that they could kill the creator of life. But
God raised Him from the Dead! And now through Peter and John's faith in Jesus'
name, the lame man has been given perfect health. Peter then took them to the
wrings of the Prophets to show them that what had just taken place was the
fulfillment of what had already been writen.
Peter opened his nets and then gave the hearers the soluon to their sin,
“Therefore repent and be converted, that your sins may be wiped away,” Acts 3:19
Revealing how they will receive the gi of the Holy Spirit, “and that He may send
the One who previously was preached to you, Jesus Christ,” Acts 2:20 (MEV)
Thus far the preaching of the gospel has been presented by Peter in the
following fashion,
1. A sign or wonder was performed by God or by God through man.
2. Peter then draws the crowd’s atenon to himself.
3. Peter then points out that they were sinners and needed a Savior.
4. Peter then shows the crowd through the prophecies that what was
happening was the fulfillment of the prophecy.
5. Peter then tells the crowd how they can be saved.

Acts 2:38 Peter said to them, “Repent and be bapzed, every one of you, in the
name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you shall receive the gi of
the Holy Spirit.
