What will I learn?<br />
If you’re looking for an introduction<br />
to business, travel and hospitality,<br />
this course is ideal for you.<br />
Customer service is at the heart of<br />
the business, tourism and hospitality<br />
sectors and you’ll develop your<br />
skills and confidence to ensure you<br />
know how to give your customers<br />
that five star treatment. Working<br />
on an event, you’ll also build your<br />
team work, problem solving and<br />
communications skills.<br />
The tourism industry is a<br />
multi-million pound industry and<br />
you’ll learn more about the sector<br />
here in the UK and get out and<br />
about visiting key tourist attractions.<br />
You’ll also develop your digital<br />
and IT skills and presentation skills<br />
throughout the duration of the<br />
course.<br />
The skills and knowledge you<br />
gain from the course will help you<br />
step into a job, apprenticeship or<br />
progress on to the next level of<br />

4 GCSE’s at grade 3 and above.<br />
What will I learn?<br />
If you have ambitions to work in the<br />
fast paced travel industry whether<br />
that’s in a travel agency, hotel or in<br />
aviation, then this course is for you.<br />
You’ll learn how to deal with<br />
customers and exceed their<br />
expectations throughout their<br />
customer journey whether that’s<br />
when you’re checking them in at<br />
the airport or their hotel.<br />
We’ll also teach you how to handle<br />
complaints and deal with difficult<br />
customers.<br />
You’ll look at how tour operators,<br />
hotels, travel agents and tourist<br />
attractions operate, as well as<br />
developing skills in team work while<br />
organising an event. You'll also<br />
study the exciting world of aviation<br />
and learn how airport and airlines<br />
operate with the opportunity to<br />
work in a simulated airport / aircraft<br />
facility at SimFly.<br />
Getting out and about is a key<br />
part of this course and you’ll go<br />
on a range of trips and visits and<br />
complete work experience in the<br />
travel and tourism industry at one of<br />
our partner organisation's including<br />
Leonardo (formally Jury's Inns),<br />
Maldron and Encore Hotels.<br />
