What will I learn?<br />
If you're looking to become a<br />
care worker, home carer, health<br />
care assistant or support worker<br />
then this course is for you.<br />
You’ll gain a sound understanding<br />
of communication, healthy living,<br />
values, human lifespan, promoting<br />
health, anatomy and physiology.<br />
Your learning will be delivered<br />
through classwork, practical<br />
activities, demonstrations and<br />
guest speakers as well as blended<br />
learning through online platforms<br />
and an interactive care home app.<br />
Fantastic opportunities to<br />
undertake work experience<br />
could also be available.<br />
On completion you may<br />
be able to progress onto<br />
our Level 3 programme or<br />
into an apprenticeship.<br />

Five academic GCSEs<br />
at 4-9 including English,<br />
maths and science.<br />
What will I learn?<br />
On this course you'll gain an<br />
understanding of working in health<br />
and social care environments,<br />
principles of safe practice,<br />
meeting individual needs,<br />
human lifespan development<br />
and physiological disorders.<br />
Your learning will be delivered<br />
through classwork, practical<br />
activities, demonstrations and<br />
guest speakers as well as blended<br />
learning through online platforms<br />
including an opportunity to use<br />
virtual reality technology to explore<br />
the human body. In addition<br />
you will develop independent<br />
learning skills, teamwork and<br />
professional behaviours.<br />
You'll get fantastic hands-on<br />
experience through a supervised<br />
work placement with a minimum<br />
of 100 hours at one of our industry<br />
partners, for example in a care<br />
home or community setting.<br />
On completion you may be<br />
able to progress onto the Level<br />
3 top up Extended Diploma<br />
or into an apprenticeship.<br />
