DIGITAL
TECHNOLOGY.
This is a new type of qualification
that combines a minimum of
315 hours (or 45 days) industry
placement with studying in college.
When you’re on placement, you’ll
spend time with our network of
digital employers, developing your
technical skills, working as part
of a team and gaining valuable
work experience. Past students
have spent time with Mediaworks,
Enigma Interactive, Geek Talent,
Tombola and Hedgehog Lab.
In college, you’ll study concepts,
theories, principles and core skills
relevant to software engineering
including programming concepts,
business context, digital concepts
and environments, agile project
management, system security
and testing methodologies. You’ll
also look at industry standard
knowledge, skills and behaviours in
requirements analysis, designing,
implementing and testing software
solutions.
When you complete the course,
you can step into work, move onto
university or apply for a higher or
degree level apprenticeship.
