Ideally a Level 1 Service and
Repair qualification or good level
of experience. You'll do an initial
assessment in English and maths to
ensure you are enrolled on the right
level programme.
What will I learn?
Get the technical skills needed to
work in today’s motor vehicle repair
industry, including the diagnosis
of non-complex system faults.
A very practical course that'll give
you hands-on experience working
on a range of vehicles.
The course provides essential
knowledge for those who want to
work as a vehicle technician in all
types of dealerships, maintenance
depots and garages. You’ll also go
on a work experience placement
with a local employer.

Level 2 automotive qualification and
an initial assessment in English and
maths to ensure you are enrolled on
the right level programme.
What will I learn?
You'll learn everything you need
to know to pursue a career
working as a service technician in
all types of garages, dealerships
and maintenance depots.
Master your skills working
on a variety of vehicles and
diagnostic equipment.
You'll also gain a qualification in
refrigerant handling, knowledge
of electric and hybrid vehicles
and have the opportunity to
complete work experience
with local businesses.
Don't worry if you
haven't got a
4 in maths and
English, we will help you
achieve these as part
of your course.
