What will I learn?<br />
This course will give you the<br />
essential skills, knowledge and<br />
experience you need to work<br />
as a body repairer in garages,<br />
dealerships and specialist<br />
body repair shops.<br />
It’s a practical, hands-on course<br />
and you’ll be training in our<br />
state-of-the-art workshops on<br />
a variety of vehicles and industry<br />
standard resources. You’ll also<br />
follow a formal paint refinishing<br />
qualification so that by the end of<br />
your programme, you’ll have the<br />
skills and experience of both of<br />
these specialist areas.<br />
You will also be given the<br />
opportunity to take up a work<br />
experience placement in the<br />
motor industry to get a taste of the<br />
working world.<br />

Level 1 Body Repair and Paint<br />
Refinishing or a good level of<br />
practical experience and an<br />
initial assessment in English and<br />
maths to ensure you are enrolled<br />
on the right level programme.<br />
What will I learn?<br />
This is a unique opportunity to<br />
gain skills in two specialist areas -<br />
body repair and paint refinishing.<br />
During this one-year course you'll<br />
get practical skills and knowledge<br />
working on a wide range of<br />
vehicles in our workshops.<br />
You'll also complete a work<br />
placement with a local employer to<br />
gain an insight and understanding<br />
of working in a body repair shop.<br />
This qualification forms part of an<br />
advanced level apprenticeship,<br />
giving you a head start over other<br />
candidates if you wish to progress to<br />
an apprenticeship. Alternatively you<br />
can progress to our Level 3 course.<br />

Refinishing qualification and<br />
