Entry requirements
5 GCSE qualifications at grade 4
and above including English and
maths are required. If you do not
meet the GCSE entry requirements
but have achieved a Level 2
qualification in travel and tourism
or hospitality (minimum grade
requirement) you may still be
considered (interview required).
What will I learn?
This course will enable you to
develop skills and gain knowledge
to confidently give your customers
5-star service as well as building
your leadership skills and
confidence to ensure you get the
best out of you and your team.
You will learn about the structure
of these industries, the impact of
tourism on destinations and how
visitor attractions enhance their
appeal to customers. Preparing for
a career will enable you to explore
the different job roles within these
industries, analyse employment
opportunities as well as planning
for and taking part in an interview
and evaluating performance to
produce a development plan.
As part of this course you will
attend a work placement with
one of our partners. You’ll also
get the opportunity to work as
part of a team in our studentrun
restaurant Enfield’s Kitchen,
serving paying customers. You
will also organise and manage
guided tours, events and supervise,
mentor and support others.
