Entry requirements<br />
Five GCSEs at grade 4 or above<br />
including English, maths and a<br />
creative subject. We would also<br />
like to see a portfolio of your<br />
work (this can be digital). We will<br />
consider those who don’t meet the<br />
entry requirements, subject to an<br />
interview.<br />
What will I learn?<br />
If you have boundless imagination<br />
and the desire to explore industry<br />
standard digital tools, to invent and<br />
create exciting visuals, then this<br />
course is ideal for you.<br />
Digital Arts offers opportunities<br />
to manipulate pixels as<br />
well as traditional media to<br />
design characters, props and<br />
environments for your comics,<br />
games and film ideas. Working<br />
with experts in the field in our state<br />
of the art digital lab, you will hone<br />
your craft to be able to design,<br />
model, animate, light and render.<br />
Our Digital Arts course offers three<br />
pathways:<br />
● Illustration - you'll develop skills<br />
in digital painting for concept<br />
art and editorial illustrations.<br />
● Sequential Art - you'll develop<br />
skills in book illustration,<br />
comics and storyboards.<br />
● Animation - you will<br />
develop skills in 2D/3D<br />
animation, storyboarding,<br />
modelling, lighting and<br />
rendering for 2D/3D.<br />
