one of three different areas<br />

of engineering to specialise in<br />

and gain the relevant skills and<br />

knowledge for a career in the<br />

Focusing on CNC and manual<br />

machining, fitting and assembly<br />

applications<br />

Electrical<br />

Focusing on Electrical<br />

installation, wiring and testing<br />

circuits, electrical engineering<br />

principles, electrical systems<br />

and devices<br />

General Engineering<br />

Focusing on welding techniques,<br />

electrical circuits, testing and<br />

fault diagnosis and CAD<br />

Our industry standard workshops<br />

have a range of equipment which<br />

you’ll get to grips with during your<br />

course:<br />

● MIG/MAG<br />

● MMA<br />

● TIG<br />

● Milling machines<br />

● Lathes<br />

● Hand tools<br />

● Oscilloscopes<br />

● Soldering irons<br />

● Box pan folders<br />

● Swaging machines<br />

● Presses<br />

You'll also study English and maths<br />

as well as doing a work experience<br />

placement with an engineering<br />

employer.<br />

This course is designed to prepare<br />

you for an apprenticeship and you'll<br />

be able to apply for one with our<br />

employer partners and continue<br />

your studies or you'll be able to<br />

progress onto one of our Level 3<br />

courses.<br />
