‘Perili Köşk’ Türkiye’nin ilk ofis-müzesi oldu
Borusan Holding’in yönetim merkezi
olan İstanbul Rumelihisarı’ndaki Perili
Köşk müzeye dönüştürüldü. Asıl
adı Yusuf Ziya Paşa Köşkü olan bina,
hafta içi ofis olarak kullanılmaya devam
ederken, hafta sonları ‘Borusan
Contemporary’ adıyla müze olarak
hizmet veriyor. Ziyaretçilere butik
ve kafe hizmeti de sunulacak olan
Borusan Contemporary’nin programında
her yıl üç geçici sergi yer alıyor.
Müzenin koleksiyonu ise ağırlıkla
Borusan Holding’in sahip olduğu
çağdaş sanat eserlerinden oluşuyor.
Turkey’s first Office-Museum opens at the
‘Haunted Mansion’
BORUSAN Holding’s Headquarters at the Haunted Mansion in İstanbul’s
Rumelihisarı neighbourhood was transformed into a museum. The ‘Yusuf Ziya
Paşa Mansion’ with its initial name, continues to be used as an office space during
weekdays and serves as the ‘Borusan Contemporary’ museum at weekends.
A boutique and coffee shop will cater to the guests as well. While Borusan Contemporary’s
permanent collection consists mainly of the modern works of art
owned by the company, the museum intends also to organize yearly three exhibitions
each based on a different medium and conceptual content.
Adana Müzesi zenginleşiyor
Çukurova bölgesinin Antik Döneme ait en önemli yerleşim birimlerinden biri
olan Sirkeli Höyüğü’nde 2006 yılından bu yana yapılan kazılar bu yıl da
meyvelerini verdi. İsviçre Bern Üniversitesi uzmanları ve Türk arkeologların
işbirliğiyle gerçekleştirilen kazılarda mutfak aletleri ve erzak saklama kapları
ile Helenistik Dönem’e ait bir kadın heykelciği bulundu. Kazılarda elde
edilen eserler Adana Müzesi’ne teslim edildi.
Adana Museum is expanding
The intensive excavation work performed since 2006 in the Sirkeli Tumulus,
one of the foremost ancient settlements at the Çukurova region, continued to
bear fruit this year. At the excavations carried out jointly by scholars from the
Bern University/Switzerland and Turkish archaeologists, were found kitchen
utensils, provisions storage vessels, and a miniature woman sculpture from the
Hellenistic Period. The artefacts were delivered to the authorities of the Adana
Museum.
Ev tadilatından fışkıran tarih Maraş’ın
kaderini değiştirecek
Kahramanmaraş’ta 2007 yılında yapılan bir ev tadilatı sırasında ortaya
çıkan Germenicia Antik Kenti’ne ait yamaç villaları, taban mozaikleri
ile ilgi çekiyor. Zeugma ve Efes Antik Kentleri’ndeki villalar ile büyük
benzerlik gösteren bu konutların yoğun ilgi görmesinin nedeni taban ve
duvar mozaikleri. Bölgedeki kazı çalışmaları devam ederken, uzmanlar
Kahramanmaraş’ın dünyanın en önemli mozaik merkezlerinden biri haline
geleceğini dile getiriyor. Germenicia Antik Kenti’nde M.S. 4-5’inci
yüzyıllara ait 100’den fazla villanın bulunduğu tahmin ediliyor. Öte yandan,
34 yıldır devam eden Kahramanmaraş Müzesi inşaatında sona geldi.
Seneye açılması beklenilen müzenin en ilgi çekici parçalarından biri de 3
bin 500 yıllık iki fil iskeleti. Uzmanların birleştireceği iskeletler müzede
sergilenecek.
A building renovation offers new
perspectives to Maraş
The remains of the ancient city Germenicia such as hill slope villas, mosaic
pavements were found in 2007 in the course of a house renovation in
Kahramanmaraş. Presenting great similarities with the houses of Zeugma
and Ephesus antique cities, these villas are particularly interesting due to
their mosaic pavements and wall panels. While the excavations carry on in
the region, experts express the opinion that Kahramanmaş is heading towards
becoming one of the world’s preponderant mosaic centres. It is estimated
that there are over 100 villas from the 4 th and 5 th centuries AD, at the
Germenicia antique settlement. On the other hand, the construction of the
Kahramanmaraş Museum started 34 years ago is at its final phase. The two
elephant skeletons estimated to be 3500 years old will take place among the
interesting pieces of the museum to be opened next year.
