Conditions This new variety ‘Driscoll Destin’ was asexually<br />

propagated in McArthur, California USA and<br />

transported and held in refrigerated storage until<br />

planting in Hillsborough County, Florida USA for 3<br />

successive generations of asexual reproduction to<br />

confirm stability and uniformity of traits. <strong>Plant</strong>s<br />

were grown in raised beds of soil under conditions<br />

typical of commercial strawberry production in<br />

central Florida USA. Fruits were harvested twice<br />

weekly from November to March.<br />

Trial Design <strong>Plant</strong>s of ‘Driscoll Destin’, ‘Biscayne’ and ‘Key<br />

Largo’ were grown in side by side comparison in<br />

2003-2004 winter strawberry season in full sunlight.<br />

Measurements Detailed descriptions of the new variety ‘Driscoll<br />

Destin’ were based on observations taken of plants<br />

and fruit grown in Hillsborough County, Florida<br />

USA. This description is in accordance with UPOV<br />

guidelines and terminology. Colour designations,<br />

colour descriptions and other phenotypic<br />

descriptions may deviate from the stated values<br />

depending on variations in environmental, seasonal,<br />
