Plants of ‘DrisStrawOne’ ‘Driscoll El Capitan’ and ‘Driscoll Agoura’ were planted in raised beds side by side for comparison in Ventura County California USA in 2006. Measurements Observations were taken in accordance with UPOV Guidelines during the 2006 growing season. The description is in accordance with UPOV terminology. Colour RHS Chart - edition designations, colour descriptions, and other phenotypical descriptions may deviate from the stated values and descriptions depending upon variation in environmental, seasonal, climatic and cultural conditions. Colour terminology follows the Royal Horticultural Society Colour Chart, London. 2000. Origin and Breeding Controlled pollination: The new strawberry variety designated ‘DrisStrawOne’ originated from a controlled cross pollination between ‘Driscoll El Capitan’ (US PP14005) and ‘Driscoll Agoura’ (US PP15731). ‘DrisStrawOne’ was selected as a seedling and was asexually propagated by stolons and underwent further evaluation and testing for four years. The present variety ‘DrisStrawOne’ has been found to retain its distinctive characteristics through successive asexual propagations. Breeders: Michael Ferguson, Amado Q. Amorao and Bruce D.
