Variety identifier<br />

Be<strong>for</strong>e November 1994 (Publication <strong>of</strong> our new Plant Breeders Rights Law) <strong>the</strong>y consisted<br />

<strong>of</strong> a 5-digit number, starting at 10001 <strong>for</strong> agricultural crops and at 20001 <strong>for</strong> fruit crops.<br />

After November 1994 <strong>the</strong> identifier is <strong>the</strong> application number <strong>for</strong> all crops. The<br />

applications are numbered in sequence in <strong>the</strong> order received at <strong>the</strong> Office.<br />

Common name<br />

The name is that currently used in <strong>the</strong> country.<br />

Date + denomination proposed<br />

The denomination is proposed by <strong>the</strong> applicant, and <strong>the</strong> date, mostly identical with <strong>the</strong> date<br />

<strong>of</strong> application, is when <strong>the</strong> Office received <strong>the</strong> proposal.
