• A variety denomination is considered to be approved at the date of grant of protection
and/or addition to the national list. Therefore in general items Date + Denomination
approved and start date for grant (protection)/registration (listing) are the same.
For PBR, the applicant is generally identical with the breeder.

If the variety has been applied for in another country prior to its application, then that
information is stored under item if the applicant claims a priority from the
application in that country, and under item , if not.
Individual parts are country, type of record, date of application, application number,
breeders reference/denomination.
The significant part of the names is given as a short form in capital letters.
Example: GOTHA Saatzucht Gotha Friedrichswerth GmbH.
