A breeder’s reference is not used in Japan, <strong>the</strong>re<strong>for</strong>e <strong>the</strong> data <strong>of</strong> proposed denominations is<br />
repeated under breeder’s reference.<br />
No data on varieties in application stage is available, because names <strong>of</strong> applicants, breeders<br />
and maintainers are not published until provisional announcement has been made more than<br />
two months prior to registration.<br />
National List<br />
There is no national list <strong>for</strong> varieties in commerce in Japan.
