Application identifier
An application identifier consists in three parts:
- a one-letter or two-letters type code (O - for PBR, SO - for PBR in case of varieties applied
before June 30, 1996 and R - for NLI, SR - for NLI in case of varieties applied before June 30,
1996),
- a one-letter plant's group code (R - for agricultural plants, W - for vegetables, O - for
ornamental plants, S - for fruit trees and berry plants and P - for miscellaneous plants),
- a five-digits number within plant's group.
Grant/registration identifier
A grant identifier consists of two parts:
- one-letter plant's group code (R - for agricultural plants, W - for vegetables, O - for ornamental
plants, S - for fruit trees and berry plants and P - for miscellaneous plants),
- a five-digit number within plant's group.
A registration identifier consists of three parts:
- a one-letter type code (R - for NLI, S - for NLI in case of varieties listed before April 1, 1988)
- one-letter plant's group code (R - for agricultural plants, W - for vegetables, O - for ornamental
plants and S - for fruit trees and berry plants )
- a five-digits number within plant's group.
