Natural gas In some countries, e.g. UK and USA natural gas is commonly measured in therms. In other European countries natural gas is measured in m³ and in kWh. If an organisation buys gas directly from an utility company it will pay a price per therm, per m 3 or per kWh. The price may depend on the season and on the consumption quantities. However, in some countries the natural gas industry has been deregulated and many organisations buy gas from an independent supplier or from a gas broker. In this case there is a price for the natural gas itself and a price for the network. These charges may be billed separately but must be added to obtain the full costs. www.engine-sme.eu
