He or she has to handle supply and cost problems and has to convince staff and top management to focus on energy. Only with a structured approach is it possible to improve the existing situation, to motivate colleagues to deal with energy efficiency and to receive a budget for necessary investment. www.engine-sme.eu
Energy Manager & Energy Team The top management must appoint an Energy Manager and include this role in the existing organisational structure otherwise the energy situation will not improve on a long term basis. An Energy Team works under the guidance of an Energy Manager who co-ordinates and controls all activities. In large industries usually an energy department already exists for the collection of information and the control of energy flows. www.engine-sme.eu Non the less it is important to dedicate a responsible Energy Manager with specific responsibilities to coordinate and control the activities as otherwise all activities will be limited to solutions in those area.
