Making energy savings The energy used in ventilation is a product of power (kW) and time in hours (h). The main issues are to reduce either the amount of the power or the operating hours the power is on. In reducing both power and operating hours care is needed not to change the indoor air quality that would be unacceptable to staff. Energy savings can be made: 1. Switch it off 2. Slow it down 3.
