All staff at the Ortmann site support the efficient use of energy. An energy management system helps us to focus on all energy relevant areas within the Ortmann site in a systematic and holistic way. With the use of indicators we focus on • a continuous improvement of the energy efficiency • a decrease of the specific energy need • zero energy losses. www.engine-sme.eu We use special criteria for the purchase of energy consuming plants and machinery and take into account the lowest possible energy consumption.

To evaluate the success of our voluntary goals we undertake audits on a continuous basis. We inform and train our staff about topics in the area of energy efficiency and set the basis for an awareness of use of energy.
