Symptom
Auto focus does not
work.
When the power is
turned off and then
turned on, a blue
screen appears
instead of the normal
screen.
Pressing the [Start/
Stop] button does
not start recording.
Disc is not
recognized and the
disc cover opens.
Pressing the
[Joystick] does not
start playing.
The LCD is turned
off.
Explanation/Solution
• Check the Manual Focus menu.
• Auto focus does not work in the Manual Focus
mode.
• If the DC Adapter is connected, remove the cord,
turn on the Power switch, and then connect it
again. If the battery is connected, disconnect it,
turn the Power switch to on, and then connect it
again.
• Check the [Power] switch is set to [ (Camera)].
• There is not enough free space in the disc.
Replace the disc with a new one or format the
disc.
• Disc was finalised.
Make the disc writable to record additional
pictures.
• DVD Camcorder is too hot. Turn off the power and
cool it down a while.
• The disc is a damaged one. Replace with a new
disc.
• Check the [Power] switch is set to [ (Player)].
• Check the disc compatibility.
• Check the disc was inserted properly to face its
writable side toward the DVD Camcorder.
• A disc with data that had been recorded using
other devices may not properly work with this DVD
Camcorder.
• Do not store the DVD Camcorder in a place
subject to strong magnetism.
• Keep away from magnetic materials.
When any magnetic material approaches the left
side of the DVD Camcorder, the LCD may be
turned off but it is not a malfunction.

Erklärung/Abhilfe
• Überprüfen Sie, ob die manuelle Fokuseinstellung
aktiviert ist.
• Der Autofokus funktioniert nicht, wenn der manuelle
Fokus eingestellt ist.
• Wenn der Netzadapter angeschlossen ist, entfernen Sie
das Kabel, schalten Sie das Gerät ein und schließen Sie
das Kabel wieder an. Wenn der Akku angeschlossen
ist, entfernen Sie ihn, schalten Sie das Gerät ein und
schließen Sie den Akku dann wieder an.
• Überprüfen Sie, ob der Betriebsart-Wähler auf
[ (Camera)] steht.
• Auf der Disk steht nicht ausreichend Speicherplatz zur
Verfügung. Formatieren Sie die Disk, oder legen Sie
eine neue Disk ein.
• Die Disk wurde fixiert. Heben Sie die Fixierung der Disk
auf, um weitere Aufnahmen auf Disk zu ermöglichen.
• Die Betriebstemperatur des DVD-Camcorders ist zu
hoch. Schalten Sie das Gerät aus, und lassen Sie es
eine Weile abkühlen.
• Die Disk ist beschädigt. Legen Sie eine neue Disk ein.
• Überprüfen Sie, ob der Betriebsart-Wähler auf
[ (Player)] steht.
• Überprüfen Sie, ob die Disk kompatibel ist.
• Überprüfen Sie, ob die Disk ordnungsgemäß eingelegt
wurde. Die beschreibbare Seite muss zum DVD-
Camcorder zeigen.
• Disks, deren Daten mit einem anderen Gerät
aufgezeichnet wurden, funktionieren in diesem
DVDCamcorder eventuell nicht ordnungsgemäß.
• Setzen Sie den DVD-Camcorder keinen starken
Magnetfeldern aus.
• Halten Sie den DVD-Camcorder von magnetischem
Material fern.
Wenn magnetisches Material in die Nähe der linken Seite
des DVD-Camcorders gelangt, kann dies das Ausschalten
des LCD-Bildschirms bewirken. Dies ist keine Fehlfunktion.
