Prenez un vol de Madagascar Airlines depuis
Antananarivo vers Tuléar. Rejoignez ensuite
Morombe en bus ou en voiture.
Take a Madagascar Airlines flight from Antananarivo to
Tuléar. From there, go by bus or hire car to Morombe.

Quelques adresses lors de votre séjour à
Morombe: Chez Katia est un établissement situé
en bord de mer et Manga Lodge offre une vue
sur le lagon. Plus loin de la ville, à Ambatomilo, la
Shangri-la lodge.
Chez Katia situated along the sea front or the Manga
Lodge, for a view over the whole lagoon. Outside
the town, you can stay at Ambatomilo or the
Shangri-la Lodge.

In addition to the hotel complexes of Chez
Katia, Manga lodge or Shangri-la Lodge, we also
recommend l’Auberge Chez Laurette and La
Pirogue d’Or. Local food can also be bought at
small cafes.

Le lac salé d’Ihotry est une véritable oasis
pour les Flamants roses et blancs, ainsi
que pour les ibis et les cormorans. C’est
également une réserve naturelle qui abrite une
faune marine exceptionnelle. Il est entouré de
petits lacs: Kililio, Soranala, Andranolava.
Sillonnez les forêts de mangroves et de
baobabs pour découvrir la faune et la flore de
la région.
The lake of Ihotry is a must for anyone visiting
Morombe. It is a salt lake, an oasis for pink and
white flamingos, as well as for other species of
birds such as ibis and cormorants and it is a
nature reserve sheltering exceptional marine
fauna. It is surrounded by smaller lakes: Kililio,
Soranala and Andranolava. The inhabitants
living around the lake are the Mikea.
Also travel through the mangroves and
baobab forests to see much of the region’s
unique and fascinating flora and fauna.
